Book Review Instructions and Rubric

 Book Review

You may choose to type an MLA-formatted paper OR submit a video or link to a video of you verbalizing the review. See the attached document for an example of an MLA-formatted book review with notes about how to properly utilize the formatting. You should offer at least one paragraph about each of the following elements of the review whether you type the review or give it orally (use specific details from the text in each of your paragraphs):

  • Introduction (including name of book, author, and release date)
  • Summary
  • Pros
  • Cons
  • Characters
  • Theme/message
  • Conclusion (Including overall impression with a 5-star rating scale)
